Thurlestone Golf Club

Situated on a coastal strip of downland turf, Thurlestone Golf Club is a popular course that has a well deserved reputation for excellence and will provide both the lower and higher handicap golfers with a stern, yet enjoyable test of golf.

The setting of this 100-year-old-club has been favourable compared on television by Peter Allis, with the famous Pebble Beach course in Florida. This delightful course consists of 18 holes over 6,340 yards and is a par 70.

Green Fees are £28 per day with both weekly and fortnightly tickets available. Visitors must produce a Handicap Certificate, please telephone the club on 01548 560405 in advance to avoid disappointment. Unfortunately the club does not cater for societies.

Bigbury Golf Club

No golfer visiting the South Hams should miss the opportunity of playing at Bigbury. It's an ideal holiday course; challenging enough for the low-handicappers but not too daunting for the holiday-maker.

There are outstanding views from almost everywhere on the course, with Dartmoor to the north, the winding river Avon running near a number of holes and breathtaking scenes of Bantham and Burgh Island.

This outstanding course consists of 18 holes over 6,061 yards and is a par 70. Societies are catered for as long as prior arrangements are made with the club secretary.

Thurlestone Hotel Golf Course

A delightful and challenging 9 hole par 27 golf course set in beautiful countryside with sensational views of the sea.

The course is ideal for beginners but will also sharpen up the experts' short iron game. Open to non-residents, Green Fees £8 per adult, £4 children under 12.
